Massive quake hits China

A 7.1 earthquake hit China at about 7:49 a.m. in Qinghai Province. The quake killed at least 400 people and injuring 10,000 people, and many are still missing. Of the missing is 20 school students and 50 office workers. The officials are working on rescuing the school students. Where the quake hit many of the houses are of poor condition, being mad of mud, wood and brick. An official said that at least 32 people of been rescued from the debris. China National Radio, citing an official with the local Red Cross Society of China, said that 70 percent of the school buildings had collapsed in the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, an area the size of South Korea that has a population of 350,000. A teacher said that 5 or the 1,000 students have died. At least 18 aftershocks measuring more than 6.0 followed the quake throughout the day.
To me, there seems to be a lot of earthquakes happening. It's kinda scary.

  3. Yeah, I think that the world is just starting to suck. We are having all of these natural disasters that are tearing up everything, and they get more powerful everytime. I'm just waiting for another hurricane that will outdo Katrina.

  4. Yeah, I feel bad for these people living in places that get hit with all of this. We complain about hail when we only get it rarely and here everyone else is getting hit with earthquakes and hurricanes.
